The Office Christmas Party Study/Work Break

On Monday, December 10th, Converge is hosting the Office Christmas Party Study/Work Break (we know, the name's ridiculously long). At the OCPS/WB, we're going to have an Office Mini-Marathon, free food, games with great parties, and much more.

If you haven't made it out to the tailgating yet, you should check it out. There's always a ton of great food, good games on the tvs, the occasional recruit dropping by, and at least a few celebrity gossip magazines being passed around. The October 6th game is the next game we'll be tailgating at.

Warren Barfield

For those of you who missed it, the Warren Barfield concert was great. I didn't really know what to expect coming in, but Warren impressed me and I really enjoyed the concert. Here are some pictures from the night:

Monday the 17th we are hosting a Warren Barfield Concert here at Converge. If you don't know who he is you can check out his stuff just by typing his name into google or go to itunes and it will give you samples. I hope we can all take this great opportunity to invite someone who you think might enjoy a night out like this. We have grown each of the first nights and I believe this is going to continue so jump on board and be a part of what God is doing.

First Sunday with new Lead Pastor

This Sunday at First Wesleyan Church we are welcoming our new lead pastor, Joel Gorveatte. He is coming to us from Lansing Michigan with his wife and two kids. A lot of people are very excited including myself so if you don't have a church on sunday or want to know what our church is like coming out this Sunday.

Here we go

So the year has begun and I am so glad. I had a great time on monday: worshipping, speaking and getting to know you all. I already look forward to next week talking again and meeting the people that you are going to bring with you. I hope this week has been a week where you have thought about how you can become a person that is listening to God and anticipating what he is going to do through you because you are open to anything. He will use you. I don't have any pictures of monday to put up yet but after this week I hope to have some, so people can see what the night looks like. Have a good day.

First Night

I am really just checking to see if this blog thing is going to work. I want to invite anyone to post on this to share our thoughts, what is happening in our lives, or jsut showing some of your God given gifts. Submit a note, poem, short story, art you have done I don't care just keep it reasonably clean. I hope to see you on monday, I am anticipating a great year I hope you are too.
